About Michael

Michael understands the significant, long-term personal and financial consequences that begin at separation. He works hard to expeditiously advance his client’s matters, while carefully considering the unique circumstances that set each client apart and the impact of recent developments in the law.

Prior to joining Lessing Brandon & Company LLP in January 2016, Michael completed his articles at a general practice law firm in the Edmonton area, where he acquired a broad range of experience in civil litigation, family law, real estate, wills & estates, and business law. Michael was first called to the bar in Alberta in 2015 before he joined the Law Society of British Columbia in 2016.

Michael grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He attended the University of Winnipeg, where he completed degrees in economics and business. He was awarded the Silver Medal. Michael went on to attend law school at the University of Alberta. While attending law school, Michael placed third in the Brimacombe Moot and competed on behalf of the University of Alberta in Toronto as a member of the 2014 Corporate/Securities Moot team.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys long-distance running and sightseeing within his new province.
